Without this soft-spoken and behind-the-scene man the party would have been a non-starter. Anwar prefers a low-profile approach as publicity is something foreign to him. However, one common complaint passed on by the old boys was how could a celebration of such magnitude be high-jacked by a privileged few. A school with a rich multiracial background was eventually reduced to being a national-type school (Sekolah Jenis Kebangsan)in its outlook and demeanour.
