The Ladies Hour Club held their annual fellowship lunch at Mun Choong Restaurant in Pasir Putih recently. The ladies have been meeting weekly for the past 20 years to network, share recipes, attend cooking demonstrations and raise funds for various charity projects in Ipoh. These include baking and selling cakes at the annual Salvation Army food and fun fair; making regular donations of cash and food to Asrama Bintang and the Jelapang Old Folks Home; making monthly cash donations to the Perak Thalassaemia Society as well as conduct awareness talks together with BP Lab in many secondary schools in Ipoh, and provide Thalassaemia blood-screening to the students.
