The Miss Kebaya Perak 2012 competition held recently was a wonderful evening of lovely ladies gracing the catwalk adorned in evening gowns and the ever elegant kebaya.
The pageant winner was 22-year-old Olivia Teng, an Ipoh girl who attended school at Yuk Choy. Her alluring looks, not surprisingly, made her a favourite with the audience.
Displaying her 34-26-36 statistics and standing tall at 179cm she was a delight to watch as she perfectly displayed the elegance and sensuality that is exuded being dressed in a kebaya.
Teng who was crowned Miss Perak Model last year is currently working in KL grooming pets but also takes on modeling jobs part time. She owns two dogs, a Rottweiler and a Shih tzu. First runner up was 20-year-old accounting student Carey Tan while second runner up was 27-year-old beauty consultant Steffieliz Wong who described the kebaya as “a very elegant evening dress”.
Richard Leong Soon Fatt, who is part of the Ad Mission team, the organizer of the event, acknowledged that the three finalists would be part of a team to promote the kebaya to China later this year. He also confirmed that the three winners would be competing in the Miss Kebaya Malaysia 2012 scheduled to be held in KL in August.
