FACES Youth Society, Zakka LoftFACES Youth Society, Zakka LoftFACES Youth Society, together with Zakka Loft, brought joy and laughter through a handicraft learning session to the 30 children of Good Shepherd Family Home (GSFH), Ipoh recently.

Aged 4 to 17, the children of GSFH were taught to create a doll puppy using a sock and some cotton. Four handicraft instructors from Zakka Loft were at the children’s home to teach and demonstrate the know-how of sewing the doll. The children, with support and guidance from the ever passionate volunteers of FACES, enjoyed themselves in this simple yet fun handicraft session.

After two hours of hard work, it was a delightful scene as each and every child was seen to have their own customized doll puppies in their hands. Soya bean drinks, cakes and biscuits were then distributed to each child after the handicraft session. Sundry items, donated by the members of the public were also delivered to GSFH on the same day.

Good Shepherd Family Home is in need of kind donations in the form of cash and also items. The public are welcome to visit the home to find out more about them. They are located at: Lot 1437, Jalan Bali, Buntong New Village, 30100 Ipoh. For more information, please contact Ms Jennifer Arokiam at 017-5611767.
