ibis Styles Has Landed
Accor, the world’s largest hotel operator, has arrived in Ipoh with the opening of the first international hotel ibis Styles Ipoh. ibis Styles Ipoh is located in the heart of the city, a premium economy hotel offering guests a sanctuary within the hustle and bustle of city life.
The hotel’s welcoming facade and happy colourful palette offer a friendly atmosphere to unwind and relax. The hotel’s interior design is inspired by the Pomelo fruit – for which Ipoh is renowned – with eye-catching hues of citrus that exude a sense of freshness.
The hotel’s 113 rooms comprise four single rooms, 60 twin rooms, 46 double rooms and three suites that emanate warmth, comfort and cheerfulness for a delightful stay. To celebrate its opening, ibis Styles Ipoh is offering all-inclusive rates from RM160+.
“At ibis Styles Ipoh, we offer our guests an all-inclusive price with complimentary WiFi, a wholesome buffet breakfast and extras like a conviviality area for guests to enjoy complimentary beverages during their stay. Other services include the Internet Connectivity area as well as a fun Kids’ Corner,” says Ms Charanita Gill, General Manager of ibis Styles Ipoh.
“We strive to ensure all our guests enjoy a good night’s sleep on our ibis ‘Sweet Beds’ which are designed to provide the cosiest and most comfortable rest,” she adds.
To maximise comfort and space efficiency, the rooms are designed with modern furniture and amenities with a clean, contemporary feel and vivid colourful touches.
The hotel’s all day dining restaurant, sTREATs, offers a variety of scrumptious local and international dishes. True to the local culture, sTREATs’ decor is inspired by Ipoh’s bustling night markets and Kopitiams – Malaysia’s traditional coffee shops. The hotel offers four modern and well-equipped function rooms to accommodate business guests and meeting delegates visiting the city.
Perched on the hotel’s roof terrace is the exclusive Mù bar with spectacular panoramic views of the city skyline, which makes it a great place to unwind with friends. The bar also offers a wide variety of cocktails and premium drinks.
The hotel’s designer, Mr Chin S. Chin, an Australia-based architect and interior designer from SCHIN Architects, explains the hotel’s design concept, “ibis Styles Ipoh is where you can return to rejuvenate in a calming sanctuary. Guests can freely move, watch and feel the hotel transform and reveal its own layers of character that resonate a feeling of freshness and vibrancy.”
The hotel is strategically located in Ipoh’s city centre, off Jalan Iskandar with many shops, businesses and entertainment venues within close proximity. Just minutes away from Ipoh Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, Ipoh Railway Station, Ipoh Old Town, Parkson Ipoh Parade Mall and the Royal Perak Golf Club.
