Those who are planning to treat their mothers to a scrumptious meal this Mother’s Day, officially observed in Malaysia on the second Sunday of May, may want to consider Symphony Café’s Mother’s Day brunch.
Symphony Café is the coffee house of Symphony Suites Hotel. The very capable chefs here have planned a tantalising menu to celebrate this very special occasion. This brunch buffet, from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, May 11, starts with a traditional morning fare consisting of an omelette station, beef bacon, turkey ham, rosemary breakfast potatoes and assorted breakfast pastries.
There will be two soups of the day, namely, cream of chicken and seafood chowder. Main entrées include pasta with chicken ham carbonara, seafood pie, vegetable tempura and pan-grilled lamb chop with honey mint.
The main feature of the menu is probably the herb-roasted whole turkey with raspberry sauce and American bangers, served at the Butcher Block.
As for desserts, there will be a good assortment of pastries, puddings, bread butter puddings as well as all-time favourite, chocolate-covered strawberries.
At the price of RM55 nett per adult, for every five paying adults, the sixth person dines for free. Children below 12 years of age will enjoy a 20-percent discount off the full price.
