“SEEING EYE TO EYE”
SEMINAR 2014
As part of Rotary’s commitment to eliminate the main causes of avoidable blindness,the taskforces for Blindness Prevention in RI Districts 3300 and 3310 have been organising the “Seeing Eye to Eye” seminar in an effort to increase awareness about eye diseases. This seminar has become a regular feature in our Rotary Calendar and this year, in conjunction with World Sight Day, this event will be held in Ipoh. This time Yayasan Kelab Kelab Rotary Malaysia have also partnered with our committee and in collaboration with eye specialist group Lee Eye Centre and the Adult Blind Association of Selangor, the following activities will take place at the seminar:-
a) FREE Eye Screening for the public as part of Rotary’s commitment to “Service Above Self”.
b) A “Seeing in the Dark” experience to provide insight into how a partially sighted or blind individual carries out the activities of daily living.
c) An interactive seminar which will include regionally and internationally acclaimed keynote speakers.to increase awareness on a number of key areas related to Prevention of Blindness.
d) A suitable platform for participants to have their eye health related questions answered by qualified members of the ophthalmology community.
