The Old Michaelians’ Association (OMA) held its 81st annual dinner at the Red Crescent Hall, Jalan Kompleks Sukan, Ipoh, recently. Over 700 alumni, guests, friends and family members gathered to reminisce on the good old days as well as to celebrate the joyous occasion.
President of OMA, Adrian Tsen, in his welcoming address, welcomed the former students and thanked them for their interest and support.
“One of the highlights for 2014 is perhaps the long awaited amalgamation of St Michael’s Primary I and II. It was a long process, actively pursued by the school board and the association. We’re also planning two projects, one is building a roof over the basketball courts and the other a substation to provide a more dependable power supply,” he said.
The association presented diamond jubilee certificates to 77 recipients.
