The “season for giving” came early at Denis’ Jazz Bistro in Ipoh Garden. About 50 children from the centre for single parents in Sungai Siput were entertained to a hearty lunch of chicken and mutton curries and some cakes. They were also entertained to some lively songs and music by veteran musician Kenny Ham and his guitarists. Some of the children readily joined in. They danced and performed a Michael Jackson piece. The highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of Santa Claus (Eric Francis), who arrived on a motorcycle. He distributed presents to the excited children.
“I’d like to thank all the well-wishers who had, through their contributions, made this possible annually,” said Mr Polycrap Fernando, who has been organising the children Christmas party for several years.
