In conjunction with World Environment Day 2015, Sunway City Ipoh collected recyclable materials and gave out free eco cotton bags to its community on Saturday, May 30, from 10am to 4pm at the Sunway City Ipoh Property Sales Gallery.
Aiming to raise awareness on the importance of sustainable living, as well as promoting the ‘No Plastic Bag Day’, Sunway City Ipoh invited its community to be a part of its initiative in commemorating World Environment Day.
Sunway residents and Sunway City Ipoh Property PALS were welcomed to collect an eco cotton bag at the Sunway City Ipoh property sales gallery upon contributing recyclable materials. An SMS message was sent to each Sunway City Ipoh PALS before the event as an invitation.
All recyclable materials collected were contributed as charity to Pusat Kitar Semula Aurora, Ipoh.
World Environment Day, celebrated every June 5 is a day the United Nations honours, to stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues and encourage political action. Advocating sustainable living, this year’s theme is titled, ‘Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care’.
