PROJECT

Title : The Visual Series Of Malay Proverbs

Website : malayproverbs.tumblr.com

Description : A Mobile Phone Painting Project, translating various Malay proverbs into visuals through the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

We grew up with many of these common proverbs and idioms. But while we are familiar with their meaning, we seldom have the chance to see them expressed in image.

I wanted to translate these sayings into a visual medium using the mobile technology of today. Every drawing has been created layer by layer using a Samsung Galaxy Note painting app called Mobile Sketch. It is my hope that more people will know the beauty of these quirky proverbs and be inspired to carry them on into the next generation.
