A joint effort by 126 make-up artists to beautify 848 volunteers within an hour found their way into the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) on Sunday, November 15 at the Regional Transformation Centre (RTC), Gopeng.
The record-breaking feat titled, ‘The Most Number of Participants in a Simultaneous Beauty Make-up Event’, was achieved by staff of beauty salons namely, Toko Impian, Anney Beauty and Spa, Department of Skills Development (JPK) and My Beauty Academy.
Vice President of MBOR, Juliana Ngok said that those involved included professionals, lecturers and students of community and vocational colleges, JPK-accredited centres and others.
“The theme, ‘Hi-tea make-over’, is synonymous with the state-level Malaysia Entrepreneurship and Skills Carnival’s theme.”
Certificate of accreditation of the record was presented to Member of Parliament for Lenggong, Shamsul Anuar Nasarah by the MBOR President, Noraini Zakaria. She also presented certificates of appreciation to all the make-up artists involved. According to Shamsul Anuar, besides creating history for Perak, the record exemplified the resoluteness of the participants.
“This is indeed a creative and innovative idea. Such teamwork will help create more historical moments in the future.”
“The programme provides an added value to the residents besides helping the government to promote and expand skill-training programmes,” he added.
