The world’s leading crane spreader supplier, Stockholm-based Bromma Group, marked its 20 years of growth and success in crane spreader manufacturing at its flagship Asian factory in Ipoh on Saturday, January 30.
After a preview of the Bromma Group’s corporate video, slides presentation and briefing on its operations, visitors and reporters were led on a tour of the factory floor.
Bromma was founded more than 50 years ago in Sweden, and has since become a world leading supplier of container crane spreaders. It is also known as the ‘benchmark’ product for spreaders.
Presently Bromma is a global organisation with an extensive sales and service network around the world. Their spreaders are manufactured here in Malaysia, at the heart of the dynamic South-East Asian market. They have delivered spreaders to more than 500 terminals in over 90 countries on six continents.
“Our sales and service network has a wide-reaching footprint. We’ve our own sales office on all continents, and with an extensive network of agents we are able to support our customers in every country in the world,” said David Dahlqvist, Vice President, Global Operations and Sourcing Managing Director.
Bromma (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is located in Chemor, Perak and has been around since 1996. The company plans to invest further in the coming years.
