MAPS Set to Wow Tourists
The much awaited Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) scheduled to open this July held its first My Dream Carnival for two days from February 27 to 28 recently.
With forty over attractions including Malaysia’s BoBoiBoy animation, Mr Peabody & Sherman, The Croods, Casper The Friendly Ghost and Malaysia’s tallest drop tower, Megamind Megadrop, MAPS will be on the list of must-visit places in Ipoh.
Perak state exco for Tourism, Culture, Art, Multimedia, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin who was at the affair, is looking forward to see how great Perak’s tourism scene is going to be, “Perak is always known for its natural attractions and good food. MAPS is a terrific addition to Perak’s tourism industry,” said Nolee.
Chairman of MAPS and also the Chief Executive of PKNP Group, Dato’ Aminuddin Md Desa hoped MAPS will be the stepping stone that will transform Meru Raya into a global attraction, “This is part of our on-going commitment, to improve the socio-economic environment by providing business opportunities and human capital development for local talents. We hope MAPS will make Ipoh more vibrant and will boost potential tourism development in Bandar Meru Raya,” said Aminuddin.
With just months away from its target opening date, visitors who are keen on visiting can now purchase MAPS tickets including its annual ticket that will allow them to enter the park for one year multiple times, priced from RM250 and RM180 for those born in Perak and the price for one-time entry tickets starts from RM155 (RM133 with MyKad).
