Aside from our interesting tourism scene, Ipoh is also known for our delicious and scrumptious food. With that in mind, forty nine club members of Gourmet Circle Club (GCC) from Singapore came to Ipoh for the food experience including learning how to make Yong Tau Foo and Rice Dumpling at Kinta Riverfront Hotel on March 29.
The club, consisting of a group of foodie flight attendants working in Singapore spent four days three nights in Ipoh, trying various famous items of Ipoh’s cuisine including Kuala Kangsar Curry Mee, seafood and many more.
Together making the food with the group was state Executive Councillor for Arts, Culture, Communication and Multimedia, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi who welcomed both international and domestic tourists to come and explore Ipoh.
“Perak has a lot to offer. From exciting destinations to tasty food, Perak is a definite must-visit for all travel-junkies,” said Nolee after officiating the affair.
Representative from GCC, Regina Choy expressed her gratitude and thanked Roselyn Lim from Perak Tourist Guide Association (PTGA) for organising their tour, “We had a blast coming here. We get to learn and taste the delicious food from Perak and we will definitely come to visit again.”
