Smiles filled the hall of Sunway College Ipoh’s School of Accountancy, as students celebrated their excellent achievement once again. The auspicious event, held on Wednesday, February 15, which began with a cake-cutting ceremony, was attended by lecturers and students.
This time round, the occasion was for exceeding the world pass rate for the Foundations in Taxation, an optional subject in the Certified Accounting Technician programme.
While the criteria to maintain the Approved Learning Partner (ALP) Platinum status only requires an 80 per cent passing rate, the college attained 100 per cent. This year is their fourth consecutive year of maintaining the Platinum status.
Apart from that, the college managed to achieve 92 per cent pass rate in Corporate and Business Law and 90 per cent in Performance Management.
“Some of the graduates have left. We hope it’d be a motivation for the remaining students. This celebration is also a form of appreciation for the lecturers, reminding them of the good job they’ve put in,” said the Principal of Sunway College, Adawiah Norli.
“This marks our second year of celebrating the good results. We hope it’ll continue,” she concluded.
Sunway College has a string of achievements to show. The college is providing opportunities for new students by offering a special rate to those newly registered. The initial registration fee of £174 (RM966) is now being discounted to £25 (RM139). The offer ends on March 31.
