University College Fairview UCF champions teachers’ professional development for 21st century educat
Kuala Lumpur: University College Fairview UCF, fresh from conducting its maiden 21st century education professional development programme at SJKC Sam Chai and SJKC Bercham, Ipoh, will soon be training selected affiliated schools of UCF across Malaysia for the next 8 months under a structured programme schedule.
SJKC Sam Chai and SJKC Bercham are among the first in Malaysia to benefit from this public and private collaborative initiative. In addition to the structured programmes for all their teachers, the collaboration also includes engagement with parents and students of the Affiliated Schools via Parent Forums and 21st Century Science and Math SAM Club.
UCF is one of the three institutions of higher learning in Asia that is recognised by International Baccalaureate Organization IBO to offer professional development programmes that leads to IB certificates in teaching and learning. Moreover, UCF is among 35 universities worldwide that has such recognition from The University of Melbourne in Australia, University of Bath in U.K., UCLA in United States, University of British Columbia in Canada and University of Hong Kong in China.
