Equestrian Masters
Perak Turf Club Equestrian and Training Centre hosted the EAM Masters I organised by the Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) from April 15 to 16.
Featuring over 50 riders from top equestrian clubs in the country, it was the 4th round of the SEA Games Qualifiers in the dressage and show jumping category. The 120-130cm class for show jumping and FEI – Junior Individual class for dressage will be competed at the 2017 SEA Games to be held in Kuala Lumpur in August this year.
Ipoh Echo zoomed in on the 50-60cm class in show jumping featuring eight fences and a joker fence. Mat Kacong, representing KL Equestrian Club, took top spot with a time of 44.52 seconds and a full 44 points. Jackson Woo from the Perak Turf Club was placed second while Lt-Col Norazrin Shamsudin, from the Malaysian Armed Forces, emerged third. Both scored 44 points, the former clocked 45.91 seconds while the latter clocked 49.56 seconds.
Executive Secretary of EAM, Major Yap Mou Soon, was in attendance throughout the two-day event.
