Noah’s Ark Ipoh (NAI) is organising their fundraising dinner which will take place on Saturday, March 31 at the grand ballroom of Syeun Hotel, Ipoh commencing at 7pm. The theme of the dinner is “Bollywood Nite”. The objective of the dinner is to raise fund for the society’s Trap/Neuter/Adopt or Release/Manage (TNRM) programme.
“People often ask me, why animals? It’s unfortunate that they don’t see helping animals as a form of serving the community. Most of us don’t know that one female dog can produce up to 67,000 puppies in six years and one female cat, along with its offsprings, can produce 420,000 kittens in seven years. So we strongly believe in neutering animals in order to reduce the population of stray animals,” said organising chairperson, Jeya Jeyaratnam during a press conference held on Tuesday, March 20 at the Equestrian Centre, Perak Turf Club.
On the cards is a dance performance by Mast Millennium; a group of notable modern Bollywood dancers from Kuala Lumpur, D’ Artiz; young, hip hop and upbeat Bollywood dancers from Ipoh, Black Baajh Bhangra; heart thumping dhol drummers, a Zumba performance by Pro Fit dance studio and songs by Gul Muhammad from Pakistan and Ratna Jeyaratnam.
“Our target this year is to raise RM80, 000 to RM85, 000 and up to now, we’ve already collected RM68, 000. We’re not a shelter and it costs a lot to treat the strays. Animals are therapeutic and deserve our utmost love,” continued Jeya.
There will also be lucky draws that could win you holiday stays, meals and jewellery. The lucky draw card costs RM10 each.
Dinner tables are divided into four categories: RM1000, RM2000, RM3000 and RM5000.
It is a dinner for a good cause, so don’t miss it. Donate and enjoy.
