As an old girl of MGS Ipoh I was devastated to learn that the very old rain tree which sheltered generations of girls and teachers was felled.
I believe many of your readers would be keen to know who was responsible for the decision and what consultative process was adopted prior to that decision.
This tree is a significant contributor to the emotional connection old girls have with the school, and an irreplaceable piece of the cultural history of MGS Ipoh.
I hope you will be able to shed some light on this matter which has caused distress in the old girls’ community.
