Seven tour packages, specifically designed for the upcoming Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2018, await local and foreign visitors to the biennial games in September.
Tan Kar Hing, Executive Councillor for Tourism, Arts and Culture, said that the effort is a collaboration between Tourism Perak, Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Perak and Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Perak.
A total of 66 hotels in the state are involved.
“The packages are not confined to Ipoh only but available for the other 11 districts where events will be held.
“The package will provide visitors with information such as venues of scheduled events,” he told reporters after launching the SUKMA promotional packages on Wednesday, August 1 at Excelsior Hotel, Ipoh.”
Details of listed hotels, locations, prices, transportation, tourist hotspots and entrance into SUKMA events are also available.
“The package is reasonably priced. It’s designed to provide tourists with enough information before they embark on a trip to Perak.
“Those who wish to know more can get brochures of participating hotels from Tourism Perak office or visit Tourism Perak website,” he added.
