In conjunction with international breast cancer awareness month, Pantai Hospital Ipoh continues to present a series of activities aimed at educating local communities and supporting women in the fight against the disease.
Themed Pink of Health – We Can. I Can., the campaign is headlined by two record-breaking attempts. Beginning October 14 and lasting through to November, Perak’s installation in the shape of the symbolic pink ribbon will stand at the Centre Court of Aeon Mall Klebang. Visitors are invited to cover it with roses through pledges per RM10 per flower. A thousand roses are expected to envelop the 15-feet-tall structure.
The biggest charity Zumba gathering in the state will likewise be held on the same day and venue. A target crowd of 300 people will join in the high-energy aerobic of the popular workout programme.
Proceeds from both initiatives will benefit the National Cancer Society Malayasia (NCSM). Pantai Hospital is further collaborating with the non-profit to deliver free digital mammogram and pap smear for the women with a household income of less than RM5000.
