Let’s Get Physical

Ipohites get to use the upgraded MBI Sports Complex effective Thursday, November 1. The complex opens its doors to the public after refurbishment and upgrading in preparation for the just concluded 19th Sukma Games. 

The sporting venues within the complex are the Aquatic Centre, Badminton Hall, Squash and Tennis arenas. 

The aquatic centre, named Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre, boasts an Olympic-size swimming pool, a diving pool and a warming-up pool. All are based on international specifications. Wading pools are also available, one for senior citizens and two for children. 

The aquatic centre is open daily (less public holidays) based on the following sessions. Morning: 8am till 11am. Afternoon: 1pm till 4pm. Evening: 5pm till 11pm.  

On Friday. Morning: 8am till 11am. Afternoon: 2.30pm till 5.30pm. Evening: 6pm till 9pm. 

Entrance fee: Weekdays: Children (1 to 12 years old): RM2. Adults: RM3. Senior citizens (60 years and above): RM2. Foreigners: RM8. Weekends: Children: RM3. Adults: RM4. Senior citizens: RM3. Foreigners: RM10. Handicap and Disabled: free. 

Fees for use of the badminton hall, squash and tennis arenas range between RM6 to RM25 based on days and timings. The rates are available for viewing at the venue entrance and counters. 

Ipohites are advised to use the facilities fully, as they are built for your convenience.
