Four homes in Ipoh received two months supply of goods from Ayam Brand as part of their Healthy Kids Food Festival. They received the aid at STG Restaurant at Old Town recently.
Children from Rumah Anak Yatim dan Warga Miskin Budi Mulia Nurul Huda, Praise Girls and Boys Home Ipoh, Rumah Anak Yatim Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah and the Salvation Army Ipoh Children’s Home received various Ayam Brand products including sardines, mackerel, tuna and coconut milk.
“We are grateful for the generous donation and thank Ayam Brand for always inviting us to join the event. We will be running some of the workshop activities held today at our home soon because from what we observed, these activities can help the kids pick up healthy eating habits,” said Vijaya Muniandy, the representative from Praise Girls and Boys Home Ipoh.
During the affair, children from all homes were treated with fun games and workshop including making their own balanced nasi lemak with tuna using the information they had learnt.
“Children learn better through games and Ayam Brand developed the festival with games crafted especially for them so they can have fun while still learning how to make informed food choices,” said Nathat Deverre, the representative from Ayam Brand.
