_______________________________________________________

2019 has dawned upon us rather quickly. After a very hectic 2018, something is once again brewing within the PSPA Singers.

What’s new for 2019?  No more year-end concert!  One year is too long a wait.  Vocal cords need constant tuning, just like the strings of a guitar. They cannot be left unused for too long.

Therefore, 7NJ is the destination.  A Chinese legend tells of a love story between a weaver girl and a cowherd. However, this love, pure and innocent it may be, was never allowed and the lovers were thus banished, each to opposite sides of the Milky Way. Once a year, on the 7th day of the lunar month, a flock of magpies would form a bridge to reunite the lovers for one precious day.  A similar love story, Tanabata (meaning 7th night) also emerged in Japan.

The PSPA Singers see our ‘fans’ in the same light as these two legends.  Once a year the lovers of music meet to enjoy the music that serves as the connecting bridge of our hearts, and to share in the laughter and tears from the stories we weave.  Our destination this year is 7NJ, a special night filled with music from different countries, some of which may lead you to discover your own magical bridge.

See you on the 7th Night of July 2019.
