Standing deep in thought at the Fan Tan Table is Ah Foong. He is across the table from Ah Foo and barely sees him gathering his winnings as he staves off the pangs of hunger that are always with him.
Ah Foong is another rich miner who just does not like to conform to the normal Towkay standards. He is always dressed very casually and refuses to wear the European suit or the Chinese Changshan. If he is not careful the President will be asking him to leave the club.
As he watches Ah Foo his thoughts are of nothing but food. Soon he will be down in the kitchen ordering a meal from Ah Toh the housekeeper and cook. A slight smile creases his face as he thinks about her cooking.
