In line with the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) effective Monday, May 4, KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital will be delivering medical supplies right to their patients’ doorsteps.
Their chief executive officer, Yusmah Salleh stated that the initiative is to make it easier for patients to receive their supplies besides maintaining adherence to CMCO.
“We’re working to ensure uninterrupted medical supply delivery to patients during CMCO, especially to patients who have chronic or high-risk diseases,” she said.
“Consultation from relevant medical specialists will be sought before delivery is attempted to patients’ houses,” she added. “Patients will receive their supplies within 48 hours after online payment.”
The service operates from Mondays to Thursdays, 9am to 5pm with a maximum delivery range of 15km from the hospital. Pharmacists will be delivering directly to patients’ houses while constantly practicing social distancing measures.
Yusmah mentioned that courier services are available for delivery exceeding 15km.
“KPJ Ipoh maintains strict precautionary steps in making sure that patients seeking treatment in the hospital premises are free from COVID-19 infection,” she stressed. “The health of patients, visitors, medical specialists and hospital staff remains our top priority.”
“Patients may call +605 240 8777 for order of supplies. They will then be redirected to their respective clinics for health record references,” Yusmah explained.
