MB Thanks Good Samaritan

Perak Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu expressed gratitude to a Quranic class teacher, Muhammad Nor Imran Maula Abd Jalil for saving four teenage girls from drowning on Wednesday, May 27.

In a media statement by the MB, the state government considers presenting a special contribution for the 31-year-old Nor Imran as a token of appreciation for saving all of the victims’ lives.

“His actions in saving them despite the heavy water torrents are worth praising,” Faizal said. “Such bravery, to the extent of endangering his own life, can only be found in selfless individuals like Nor Imran.

“Let’s pray for a speedy recovery of the victims,” he added.

The news about a religious teacher risking his own life to save four drowning victims at Kampung Teluk Sena, Kampung Gajah started circulating around social media on May 28.

Nor Imran discovered the situation around 12.20pm when he was on his way to the town of Hutan Melintang in Bagan Datuk District.

The victims, all aged 18, were admitted to Teluk Intan Hospital and Changkat Melintang Hospital for further treatment.
