Around 1,000 RM50 vouchers and 500 RM30 vouchers are offered via the #TravelPeraklah Travel Voucher programme which can be used by tourists visiting Perak in the near future.
According to the State Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi, this is an initiative by the state government through Tourism Perak in encouraging the domestic tourism sector.
“RM50 vouchers are prepared for accommodation premises like hotels and homestays,” she told reporters after launching the programme at Kellie’s Castle, Batu Gajah yesterday on June 18.
“The vouchers are up for grabs on the condition that reservations for accommodation must be at least two days and one night, along with minimum spending of RM100,” Nolee Ashilin added. “RM30 vouchers, on the other hand, are for selected tourism products.
“As of now, 2,095 rooms have been booked around hotels in Ipoh, Taiping, Lumut and Pangkor Island,” she enthused. “Hopefully, with the launch offer of these vouchers, the amount of tourists and visitors will increase given time.
The launch was graced by Perak Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, who also presented the vouchers to hotel operators in Ipoh.
