4G internet access will soon be made available for residents in areas under administration of the Slim state assembly.
According to the Minister of Communication and Multimedia, Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, two telecommunication towers which are being built in Changkat Sulaiman and Changkat Serunai are expected for completion by the end of this year, while another five in planning for Felda Besout are expected for the second quarter of 2021.
“Upgrading works of 25 transmission devices for these towers are also in the midst of execution,” he told reporters in a media session at the 2020 Slim by-election today (August 19).
“These will provide a wider and faster coverage of 4G network,” Saifuddin added. “I’m confident that the addition of these network facilities will benefit many parties, in line with the technological advancement today.”
Meanwhile, in conjunction with the National Month celebration, Saifuddin also handed a Jalur Gemilang flag over to this scribe who’s also president of the Perak Media Sports and Welfare Club.
Also present was Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the by-election, Mohd Zaidi Aziz.
