Some 165 staff of Ipoh City Council (MBI) were awarded for their excellence of service for 2019 today (September 30) at Stadium Indera Mulia.
Present were the mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin and deputy state secretary (development), Halizah Sipun, who presented awards to each staff in the form of a RM1,000 incentive for the Bank Simpanan Nasional Premium Savings Certificate, a certificate of appreciation and a branded watch.
“The passion and commitment towards their entrusted responsibilities to put forward Ipoh as one of the best cities in Malaysia are very crucial to MBI’s achievements so far,” he added.
Rumaizi also encouraged staff to carry out their tasks in the future with more integrity and big hearts to put forth MBI as a world-class local authority (PBT).
“Hopefully, award recipients today continue being good examples as civil servants, besides maintaining the council’s responsiveness, relevance and effectiveness among Ipohites,” Rumaizi expressed.
