The state government, via Digital Perak Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd (Digital Perak), has secured joint digitalisation efforts with Nepolink Sdn Bhd and Proven Optimisation Innovative Solutions (POIS) Sdn Bhd.
According to chief executive officer for Digital Perak, Meor Rezal Fitri Meor Redzuan, the collaboration with Nepolink involves internal digital media (IDM) management and maintenance of some 250 television hardwares under Digital Perak at 133 strategic locations around the state.
“These locations include government departments, agencies, transportation hubs, higher education institutes, hospitals and targeted tourist spots,” he told reporters after handing over a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at M Roof Hotel & Residences yesterday (October 7).
Also present was the State Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports, Communication and Multimedia, Khairul Shahril Mohamed to witness the handing over of MoU.
Representing Nepolink were chairman Dato’ Seri Abdul Halim Mohd Tahir, director Akil Mohd Tahir and chief operations officer, Zainal Badri Mazlan. POIS was represented by managing director, Eidia Erriany Abdul Rahim.
Digital Perak’s collaboration with POIS, on the other hand, involves design, development and execution of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, infrastructure, digital agriculture, mobile apps and professional training courses to make way towards digital transformation from all sectors.
“The solutions cover the internet of things (IOT) technology and data analysis for upcoming agricultural and tourism projects in Perak,” Meor Rezal mentioned.
“Moving from conventional methods to digitalised systems will help increase sources of income, productivity and service quality, which realises business intelligence,” he added.
