“‘Dark Tourism @ Kellie’s Castle’ isn’t only about creating new experiences, but it’s also a surge of inexplicable aura…” the managing director of Kellie’s Castle, Zamari Muhyi expressed.
Dark Tourism @ Kellie’s Castle has resurfaced after its previous two series received unexpected welcome from both local and international tourists.
“This time around, we would like visitors to enjoy the castle’s uniqueness during night time,” Zamari said. “The lighting further enhances the legendary building, besides providing a panoramic scenery accompanied with the fresh air.
“Only a maximum of 15 visitors are allowed at a time. Tours are open 8pm to 12am every Friday and Saturday until the end of October.
“Also, only individuals aged 12 and above are allowed to join the tour. Senior citizens and those with health issues are discouraged from joining. Ticket rates are priced at RM10 for MyKad holders and RM20 for international visitors.
“Kellie’s Castle was chosen as one of the products of Dark Tourism by Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with the Dream to Travel PATA programme on July 1 earlier this year.
“It’s collaboratively live-streamed for 35 minutes with Pacific Asia Travel Association from Bangkok and Tourism Malaysia from Putrajaya.
“This is one of the best platforms in promoting local tourism products internationally,” she expressed.
