Low-risk centres (LRC) are pending approval for inception by the state government from the state National Security Council (MKN), following the spike of cases in Perak recently.
“This was one of the verdicts that came from a meeting with the council yesterday, the other being the implementation of Enhanced MCO (EMCO) at two localities in Ipoh, which are Zone B and Zone C of Taman Meru 2C.
“The LRCs are to be made quarantine centres for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. Tentatively, they’ll be built in Ipoh and the southern part of Perak, once the proposal is approved,” Faizal mentioned.
