Executive director of Sunway Theme Park (STP), Calvin Ho, stressed that the company’s management is always ensuring detailed implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee visitors’ safety.
He said that the Sunway Lagoon and Lost World of Tambun theme parks are in the midst of disinfection works in their entirety as preparation to operate after the end of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
“We’ve tightened SOPs imposed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia,” Calvin explained in a media statement released today (November 24).
“While within the theme park premises, it’s now mandatory for visitors to wear exclusively designed face masks, sanitise hands before interacting with animals and after contact, and to wash their hands at specified sinks with soap.
“Visitors’ safety is of utmost importance to us. Our staff are instructed to always effectively carry out these additional SOPs,” he elaborated.
Calvin mentioned that the company will always work hand-in-hand with related authorities to secure visitors’ confidence towards implementation of SOPs at both theme parks.
“Hopefully, the domestic tourism industry returns to full operation after the CMCO and the COVID-19 pandemic is successfully contained,” he expressed.
