HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has appointed Kota Tampan state assemblyman, Dato’ Saarani Mohamad as the new Menteri Besar of Perak.
The announcement came from member of the Perak Royal Council, Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini in a brief media session at Istana Kinta here today (December 9).
The decision followed Sultan Nazrin’s confidence in Saarani’s simple majority support by Perak state assembly members to be appointed as the new Menteri Besar.
“The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 11am tomorrow (December 10) at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar,” Mohd Annuar mentioned.
