Newly appointed Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato’ Saarani Mohamad will be holding his first meeting with executive councillors to discuss the 2021 State Budget which is yet to be tabled.
“The meeting will be held this Monday (December 14), followed by Tuesday (December 15) where I’ll be calling all 59 Perak state assembly members.
“They will be invited to Casuarina Hotel, Meru Raya for a briefing regarding the budget tabling.
“Hopefully, by Wednesday (December 16), all members will be able to provide their insights based on the briefing,” he told reporters after commencing his duties at the state secretariat building today (December 11).
Saarani assured that the political turmoil which started last week will not cause the government to lose focus.
“With assistance from the state secretary and government personnel, we’ll ensure that Perakeans’ welfare is protected.
“I’ve held a meeting with state government officers last night regarding the state budget to be tabled next Wednesday during the state assembly sitting,” Saarani added.
