Renewal of operating licences by Ipoh City Council (MBI) for markets and stalls has to be managed by licence holders themselves for year 2021.
According to a media statement dated today (January 13), checks done by the council have found that some of the holders are deceased, have moved to another state, are seeking other businesses or are no longer actively operating.
Management of licence renewal via a third party is hereby prohibited. Licence holders shall firstly present their identification card and a copy of their license during a renewal.
“Hopefully, the process of direct licence renewal will facilitate the MBI in updating business records and data in higher accuracy for future needs,” the statement added.
