The management of Kellie’s Castle is always utilising the time available during the Movement Control Order (MCO) to perform sanitising works on surroundings and buildings at Kellie’s Castle.
According to the general manager, Zamari Muhyi, tourism industry operators are always ensuring that tourism products are in hygienic and safe conditions in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
“When MCO’s over and the tourism sector is allowed to operate once more, we no longer need to hastily perform sanitisation. What’s needed is to maintain thorough and tightened discipline in adhering to SOPs.
“Kellie’s Castle will not tolerate any non-abidance by all visitors. Our goal is to prioritise visitors’ safety. We want to fight the spread of COVID-19 by maintaining the highest and best standard of SOPs.
Zamari, who’s also chairman of the Perak State Bumiputera Tourism Entrepreneurs Association (PPPBNP), had recently received the COVID-19 Adopt and Adhere Guidelines Certificate from the Malaysia Productivity Centre (MPC).
“The pandemic crisis has affected us for nearly a year. Surely, there are those who’ve given up and ceased operations due to difficulties caused by the ailing economy.
“What we can do now is to assist and support the government’s steps in fighting against COVID-19, as we hope that all sectors in the country resume operations free of threats from the deadly virus,” he expressed.
