RM5, Affordable, Delicious!

Affordable and delicious! These adjectives are enough to describe Konda Kondi Cafe & Bistro’s newest addition into their menu, the Nasi Goreng Kampung (kampung-style fried rice).

At only RM5, customers can enjoy the dish served with soup, cooked with fresh raw ingredients, and topped with crunchy anchovies and crackers.

Besides the Nasi Goreng Kampung, three other fried rice varieties, Nasi Goreng Udang (prawn), Nasi Goreng Belacan (shrimp paste) and Nasi Goreng Petai (bitter bean) are available at RM7 each.

All three variants are equally delicious, reminiscent of memories while being at one’s kampung.

The manager, Azril Aryandi Zambri, 33, said that the new fried rice menu was introduced mid-January this year.

The menu addition is to fulfill the palates of customers who would like to enjoy simple, yet quick meals.

Azril admitted that business dropped by 70 percent since the Movement Control Order enforcement, but it never discouraged him from keeping the legacy of the café, which has been operating since 2015, alive.

“To be honest, we’re not gaining any profits because all proceeds from sales are used for rental, salaries, raw ingredients and related matters.

“Nevertheless, we’ll still offer the best service by providing good food and beverages at reasonable prices to all of our customers,” Azril expressed.
