MB Goes On-Site to Listen to Citizens’ Laments
Starting this month, all executive councillors (Excos) of the state government will be going on-site to hear citizens’ laments, apart from getting to know firsthand the issues in need of solutions during these ongoing tough times.
The on-site visit approach is also a commitment and an effort by the state government to address the daily struggles of citizens.
According to the Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato’ Saarani Mohamad, for that purpose, he will be leading the line-up of Excos in exploring selected districts in the state through the Menteri Besar Bersama Rakyat (Mesra) programme.
Saarani said that the programme is named such because he wants himself as the MB, along with the Excos as government operators, to observe the actual life of citizens firsthand.
He said so during the Executive Talk programme with educators today (March 10).
Also present were the state secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim; Executive Councillor for Education, Higher Education and Human Resource, Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud and Perak State Education Department director, Dr Mohd Suhaimi Mohamed Ali.
Kerian District became the first destination of the programme which was the first of its kind, with various segments apart from Executive Talk, such as Moh Mengopi Bersama MB and state government meetings at districts.
Through the meeting’s concept, all Excos present will hear out development issues tabled by the Kerian District officer.
