Malaysia through the lenses of a Mat Salleh: Episode 27

Happy Sunday!
Day 27: Langkawi, the Duty-free Island
I have been there only twice and altogether just for four nights, including two spent in Westin (a fairly nice hotel), courtesy of Air Asia. Both times, we drove to Kuala Kedah and took the ferry. We spent only one full day driving around the island with a rented car. There are many Kampongs in the center of the Island and rubber plantations are still providing latex. The Sky Bridge, cable car and Eagle Square do not interest me much. So, actually I cannot write much. The beaches are okay and the beer is cheap. It was a very popular tourist destination before MCO. One can find a lot of information online. I just thought it was the most logical move after Penang.
Bon voyage.
