A store of a raw milk production company located at Batu Kurau, Perak broke out in fire yesterday (May 7).
According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call was received at around 10.06pm.
“A squad and two vehicles from the Kamunting Fire and Rescue Station were rushed to the scene right after.
“Upon arrival, it was shown that the fire had already consumed 75 percent of the zinc-walled container of 60×20 feet in size, which houses a temporary office, veterinary medical supplies and some machine equipment.
“A Toyota Hilux was also five percent burnt at its front section.
“The squad used a 100-feet hose with two jets that were attached to the fire vehicles to completely extinguish the fire.
“The situation was brought under control by 11.40pm. There weren’t any victims involved,” he explained.
The operation was led by Senior Fire Officer II Azman Ibrahim.
