An eatery broke out in fire at Jalan Markosa B/13 near Bandar Seri Botani in Ipoh earlier today (June 4).
A spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said that an emergency call regarding the incident was received at around 9.43am.
“Upon the arrival of a squad and a vehicle from the Simpang Pulai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), the A-class shop of 20×70 feet was already 80 percent damaged by the fire.
“A hose reel of 100ft with a jet was used to extinguish the fire, aided by a squad from the Ipoh BBP. No casualties or victims were involved.
“Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire,” he explained.
The operation which ended at around 12.40pm was led by Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent (PKPgB) Shahruddin Tuan Ali, aided by Assistant Fire Superintendent (PPgB) Mohd Jamaluddin Mat Yusop.
