A woman sustained injuries on her finger while working at a factory in Pelabuhan Lumut today (June 5).
According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), a distress call regarding the incident was received at around 10.15am.
“A squad and a vehicle from the Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the location right after.
“Upon arrival, the victim was found with the ring finger of her left hand stuck in a poultry grinding machine.
“With assistance from the Seri Manjung BBP’s squad, she was rescued using special equipment.
“The victim sustained light injuries on her ring finger and was subsequently handed over to the on-site ambulance for further actions,” he explained.
The operation which ended at around 11.16am was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Johari Tomin.
