A total of 2,618,316 individuals have completed two doses of COVID-19 vaccine as of yesterday (July 4).
Minister of Health, Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham Baba said via Twitter that the total indicates 8.0 percent of the country’s population has completed the vaccination.
In the same post, Adham also informed that the total number of vaccine doses administered till yesterday was 9,006,715 doses with 2,618,316 of them being the second dose.
“As for the daily vaccination, a total of 206,015 doses were given yesterday involving the administration of 127,385 first doses and 78,630 second doses.
The five states that recorded the highest number of recipients for both doses were Selangor (348,853), Sarawak (299,593), Kuala Lumpur (244,709), Sabah (233,409) and Kedah (193,575).
Previously, the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) targeted 10 percent of the population to receive two doses of the vaccination by this July under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
