Perak Women for Women Society (PWW) has set up a Community Food Pantry at Kampung Tai Lee in Buntong. It only serves the 36 families staying there and is not open to the public. This way, the supplies would not only be shared exclusively among the residents, but members of the community there can also contribute what they can for those who are struggling.
Kampung Tai Lee is an Indian settlement home to poor residents living in dilapidated huts. Many are odd job workers, cleaners and elderly with children to feed.
PWW is determined to continue supporting this community, especially during these trying times.
