The Lions Club of Ipoh Midtown is running a free vegetarian lunch programme across several locations in Ipoh throughout the month of July, in one of their many efforts to assist the needy during these trying times.
For each week from July 7 till 31, two locations around Ipoh are identified by the Club as collection points for the daily distribution of food boxes. The meals are prepared by V Life Cafe and are distributed to the needy by members of the Lions Club of Ipoh Midtown.
According to the Service Chairperson of the Club, Addy, approximately 150 boxes of food are handed out each day. While the meals are mainly provided by V Life Cafe, there will occasionally be meals provided by other sponsors as well.
For this week from July 12 to 18, the two collection points where Lion’s Club of Ipoh Midtown is holding their food box distribution are opposite The Store at Jalan Kampar and Flat Taman Pertama (Bekor Flats). The meals can be collected every day from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on a first come first served basis.
