The community continues to lend each other a hand during these difficult times. A food distribution programme was recently organised by the Rotary Club of Sitiawan, benefitting a total of 43 needy families in the rural areas around Sitiawan.
A simple handover was done at the start of the programme, whereby the outgoing President Cathy Yeoh Siew Bean handed over the Presidential Jewel to Incoming President Steven Ngooi Seng Peng.
The food distribution was the first project of the New Rotary Year. It was made possible through the Foundation Fund, “Yayasan Chariti Kelab Rotary”, and contributions from Rotarians. The groceries were co-sponsored by the supplier, Perniagaan Yin Onn.
Incoming President Steven also presented a token of appreciation to the proprietress for contributing a total of RM300 to the programme.
