The Ipoh City Council (MBI) extended their aid under the MBI Prihatin programme to staff members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) force.
Some 480 food packages were contributed to the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) earlier today (July 28), in a joint effort with Econsave Jelapang.
“The aid is a form of appreciation towards police staff of Ipoh as one of the frontliners who work tirelessly in the effort of stopping the COVID-19 pandemic,” said the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin in a media session at the IPD.
Present was the Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan, who expressed gratitude towards MBI for the aid.
“We’d like to thank the council for warming the hearts of fellow police staff here in Ipoh.
“The contribution will surely increase morale among the police and reduce the burdens of some,” he added.
Also in attendance were Econsave Northern Division 2 general manager Chua Yong Chiang and Jelapang branch manager Shah Effendy Rosman.
